The Art of Dressage

The art of dressage is discussed here from the point of view of proper performance and fair judging.  To illuminate the discussion, Col Podhajsky reviews the dressage records of the Olympics from the introduction of equestrian events to the present, and gives his own on-the-spot observations.  He also gives detailed advice for each step of training.

Modern riders will find the historic photographs very interesting, along with the commentary.

Col Alois Podhajsky was one of the more famous directors of the Spanish Riding School.  He died in 1973.
